Saturday, 3rd September 2011, a one-day workshop with Susan Courtney and James Hardiman, “Change your Energy, Change Your Life”.

Susan and James have great experience in the world of Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine (in fact they met in August 2003, when Susan was organising the European Energy Psychology conference, and James was reading a paper at that conference).

This one day workshop represents Susan’s and James’ return to the “workshop trail”; they are both highly experienced workshop leaders, but have been off the map for a while.

On this workshop you will learn the latest energy psychology and energy medicine techniques. You will get the chance to be amongst the first people in the world to try the amazing new Bio-Enhanced Synchronization Technology, using James’ brand new “Dolphin” brain synchronisation system, and you will gain the skill and experience to use these techniques by yourself and with friends, through the Together We Can system.

The venue is the Devere Hotel, Bramksome Place, near Hindhead.

We are taking advantage of an AMAZING deal with Devere, and can offer you the workshop (Saturday 3rd September), overnight stay at the hotel, breakfast, and a Walking for Happiness walk at Hindhead on Sunday 4th September, for £150 PER COUPLE!!!!!

But there’s a catch! We need a reply today, because the Devere offer is only open until midnight tonight! (6th July 2011)

And places are limited to just 10 people, because that’s how many the Devere boardroom can handle!

If you can’t reach either JP (who is handling bookings) or me, book direct with the hotel using this link, and we’ll sort out the details later.

Why “Rewire My Brain”?

Have a look at this (draft) “sales letter” for Rewire My Brain.

And here’s a very early draft of part of the Rewire My Brain book (the part I’ve written!)

In those documents I haven’t mentioned lateral eye movement, because I hadn’t got that far then. However, there is Catch-22 in Psychological Reversal: if you’re Psychologically Reversed, you don’t really want to get better, at least, not “all the way through”. Lateral eye movement can, in a magic way (I believe it’s about coordinating the two halves of the brain), get people over that initial hump.

Since I conceived of the Dolphin machine, built a prototype and started using it, things that have been stuck all my life (and I’m 63) have started to move.

Why “Dolphin”? It’s from some very interesting work done in the Maudsley hospital, and published in “Skills-Based Learning for Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder“: Janet Treasure, Gráinee Smith and Anna Crane.

To quote one reviewer, it contains:

a typology of carer styles playfully based on various animals (kangaroo, rhinoceros, ostrich and jellyfish), with the ultimate aim of developing coping styles resembling dolphins (just enough caring and control) and St. Bernards (just enough compassion and consistency).

Here’s a very rough video of a very early stage of the prototype of the Dolphin Machine that I am developing.

IFRAME Embed for Youtube

I’ve moved on a little since then:

IFRAME Embed for Youtube

And here are some documents and other websites. Please note that these are ALL under constant review and rewrite! And they are all my copyright.

My Philosophy on Weight Loss for Obese People

For my views on weight loss for obese people, read http://www.rewire-my-brain.com/Documents/Why_I_Like_Rapid_Weight_Loss.pdf (just click that link).

Here’s something that I started writing about a year ago. A lot has happened since then. I don’t disagree with anything I have written here, but there’s a lot that’s missing that I have discovered since then:

http://www.rewire-my-brain.com/Documents/The_FFO_Secrets_Book.pdf

And some more thoughts that probably fit in somewhere:

http://www.rewire-my-brain.com/Documents/Symphony.pdf

Thoughts and guidelines on Energy Psychology

I am a great believer in energy psychology and tapping. Here are some random writings on the subject:

http://www.rewire-my-brain.com/Documents/ModernTappingOnAPage.pdf

And a slightly older version:

http://www.co-met.org.uk/PDFs/EFT%20on%20a%20page.pdf

And here is a very early piece of writing about unscrambling brains:

http://www.co-met.org.uk/PDFs/UnscramblingMyBrain.pdf

Obesity Nutrition

Professor David Haslam, Chair of the National Obesity Forum: http://www.lipotrim.co.uk/haslam.html

Exercise for Obese People (and everyone else!)

Check out how Nordic Walking can help with weight loss:

http://www.walkingforhappiness.co.uk/category/weight-loss/

and how it helps with mood.

Pzizz, helps improve sleep and reduce stress; I think it’s WONDERFUL.

It’s a piece of computer software that generates “meditation soundtracks” … either to energuse you, or to help you to sleep (or, most recently, to help you to meditate), and you can generate infinite numbers of different soundtracks, of varying lengths (10 minutes up to an hour), that you can then play or your iPlayer, or MP3 player (or, in my case, on my BlackBerry). It’s helping me to reconnect with my previous meditation experience.

I use it, at the very least, for 20 minutes, twice a day: after rising (before breakfast) and before my evening meal. This is an “energiser” track that last for 20 minutes.

I also use a “sleep” track of 60 minutes when I go to bed.

I bought Pzizz while I was visiting the USA, and used it for about three hours on the return flight, and for a couple of hours when I got home. I believe it greatly reduced my let lag.

I am also using it to help with weight loss; I’ll write more about that later, but just to say I have lost 100lbs so far this year (without using Pzizz), but suddenly it’s got much more emotionally and psychologically difficult, and I am experimenting with using Pzizz as a meditation method to help me over this rough patch.

Read some newspaper reviews of Pzizz:

We now have a whole page on this website dedicated to Pzizz.

There is beginning to be a LOT of pretty hard-nosed research that shows that some of the soft squishy Personal Development stuff out there REALLY WORKS!

Meditation Eases Heart Disease

For instance, look at this report from the BBC showing that Meditation Eases Heart Disease! Who would have thought it?

That’s what this website is about: stuff you might have thought hokey, that actually works and brings major benefits.

The BBC article is about Transcendental Meditation, (TM), but there are many other forms of meditation, that cost from a LOT more to a lot less; some of which I have tried. Those are the ones that will appear here.

For instance, I recently discovered Pzizz, which helps improve sleep and reduce stress, and I think it’s WONDERFUL.

It’s a piece of computer software that generates “meditation soundtracks” … either to energise you, or to help you to sleep (or, most recently, to help you to meditate), and you can generate infinite numbers of different soundtracks, of varying lengths (10 minutes up to an hour), that you can then play on your iPod, or MP3 player (or, in my case, on my BlackBerry, or Sansa Clip). It’s helping me to reconnect with my previous meditation experience.

I got into all this after learning about Attachment Theory (a psychological theory) on Radio 4. And I then read all (all?) about it on a website by Daniel Sonkin, who recommended Pzizz and Resperate. Changed my life! Want to read more? Here’s his (I think) brilliant summary. And it was on his blog that I first heard about Pzizz and Resperate.
