new year's resolution club
for people who want to make a change ...
... and keep the change!
I need your help!
I'm posting this to ask a big favour.
You may be aware that during 2009 I lost 100lbs in weight, cured my diabetes, got my cholesterol normal, and brought down my blood pressure to reasonable levels.
I also went from not being able to walk a mile, to doing a 17-mile walk on 21st December, walking from sunrise to sunset along the Clarendon Way.
... and I did it the hard way; cold turkey, and by myself! And I learned a LOT.
In 2010 I have the hardest task of all; there's not much more weight to lose; the hard part in 2010 is KEEPING IT OFF!
One of the big things that I have learned in 2009 is that it's (fairly) easy to change one's behaviour, but, as someone said to me recently, "unless your brain changes too, the behaviour will just change back".
Which is why so many people who lose weight put it back on.
Well, I know how to re-wire the brain; it's something I have been working on for the last 25 years. But it's not something you can do by yourself. It needs fellowship.
Hence the "New Year's Resolution Club".
Here's the favour I need from you.
Do you know anyone who wants to lose weight and get fit in 2010, and wants to keep up the changes for over a year, to make sure that the change is permanent? If so, please pass this web page to them, and ask them to get in touch.
And this is urgent! Because we are going to use much kinder nutrition than I used in 2009; with the help of my friend Caroline Oppenheimer, we're going to use the fabulous Melaleuca range of nutritional products to ensure that we have the BEST nutrition, and the greatest level of support for our efforts. And (some of us) are going to enter the Melaleuca 2010 Weight Loss Challenge, and the entries have to be in by this Friday.
If you're interested, and can't make up your mind by Friday ... never mind, you can still join the club.
What will the club do?
Well, what I have found is that we need to bring all the tools that we can to help our emotions and psychology catch up with our behaviour. That includes the support of the group, buddy systems, Emotional Freedom Techniques, NLP ... a whole raft of things ... to ensure that we achieve the weight loss.
There's loads more to tell, and no time to tell it!
Here's the bottom line: if you know ANYONE who is tempted to lose weight and get healthy in 2010, and wants to STAY fit and light and healthy, please pass this e-mail on to them, and ask them to get in touch with me as soon as possible.
Thanks a million, and a very happy new year!
What will we offer?
Not just blue-sky thinking
Support that is real
hot stuff
