the new year's resolution club
Meditation and Relaxation
for people who want to make a change ...
... and keep the change!
A chance to help yourself!
One of the major tools that the club uses is meditation. There are a number of different paths to try, but if you've never tried meditation, here's a free, and very easy, introduction.
There's a sample MP3 file here that you can download (it's 23Mb and takes about 30 seconds to download on my machine). Right click the link, and save (Save Link As, or Save Target As, depending on your browser) to your desktop. There are instructions on what to do here. There's a lot more information on the Pzziz page of the main Rewire-My-Brain website, and you can buy your own copy of Pzizz from there.
Let us know how you get on.
The Learn to Meditate kit that you can buy from Amazon is excellent; I know the author and have used it; it's very reasonable priced.
I also learned to meditate with the British Meditation Society, and you can find their details by clicking the logo on the left.
And the first meditation I ever learned was Transcendental Meditation (TM); our local teacher here in Hampshire is Liz Court. If you're further afield, just click to Google it.
And there are a million other ways to learn to meditate: check out some of the books about it on Amazon.
If you want to know what it will do for you, there's a very interesting book (The Physical and Psychological Effects of Meditation) that's viewable on-line.
What will we offer?
